Statement
Rabbinic Judaism was not the only templeless movement to grow after 70: there was also Christianity, which arose as an expression of Jewish culture shortly before and after the destruction. At first the separation was not sharp, for Jesus, the twelve disciples and Paul were Jews and saw themselves in the line of Abraham and Moses. Christian origins are therefore Jewish history too.
