Statement

Once the Temple was destroyed in 70 CE, Jewish worship came to do without sacrifice or building, for example in synagogue prayer. By the second century the Hasmoneans, Pharisees, Sadducees and the Dead Sea sect were gone; gaining ground were movements without a Temple center: Christianity, born inside Judaism, and rabbinic Judaism.
