Statement
Some Qur'anic passages show a favorable attitude toward Jews and Christians and seem to voice an early hope that the Jews of Medina might be drawn to the new faith. One asks the children of Israel to keep their covenant; another promises reward to believers, Jews, Christians and Sabeans who trust in God and the Last Day and do good.
